   I have been a civil litigator for almost 15 years. My practice at Storms Law is focused on all aspects of estate, trust, and capacity disputes. 

I am passionate about guiding clients through some of life’s most emotional and challenging situations. My approach to client advocacy is informed by compassion and empathy.  I approach problems with innovative and creative solutions.  The intellectual complexities of estate litigation keep me challenged and engaged, and advocating for my clients brings me immense satisfaction.

    I have worked for over 25 years solving client problems as a commercial and civil litigator, in settings ranging from towers on Bay Street to small firm practice in Ottawa.   I bring that deep professional and life experience to my estates litigation practice at Storms Law.

Litigation begins with listening carefully to clients, identifying their goals, advising them on the reasonable legal solutions that may be available to achieve those goals, and helping them understand the costs of litigation – both financial and emotional.   Litigation is expensive and demanding on clients’ wallets, their time, and their energy, and it is part of your lawyer’s responsibility to keep this in mind throughout a case.
